[Followed half a minute later by the familiar fuzzy image of the [ V I D E O ] function starting up. And then a face. Poking it's head into the camera is a blinking blue seal which will probably be familiar if you've spoken to Rima before. She stares blankly at the 'gear for a few seconds before realising this is probably too close and rolling backwards until she reaches a sensible distance]

[A few hours later, a second post reaches the network. This time it features Spheal's trainer who looks far less enthusiastic about this morning than her Pokemon did. In contrast, her Emolga is actually appearing in front of the 'gear for once and looks delighted at the turn of events. Rima's managed to do a good job of pulling her new poofy hair into a loose bun but unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about the colour at this moment in time. Or the black stripes now covering her body. Someone's manager would probably cry if they saw her...

...but for now, she'll just deal with the issues that can be resolved]

...I'm guessing this is common enough not to need an explanation.

[Rima shifts to the side so the viewers can see the eggs lined up on her bed. Sat beside them is the Spheal from earlier]



If anyone would like an egg...just ask.

[And that's all from her. No point making a huge fuss about these changes...it doesn't seem to have helped anyone else...]

That's weird...if the result is going to be grey...she should just use grey pens. [Also...how does many colors make grey? Now Spheal is going to experiment by mixing paint together or something ;;

She doesn't really understand what's so funny either, but giggling is better than being confused so Spheal will giggle too!]

Altaria is a cloudy bird, right? Does she sleep on the cloud or the bird? [Because someone has always wondered if you can sleep on clouds...they look so soft after all]

That's what I keep telling her, but I don't think she understands the message. [Nope, Audino doesn't get it either. But she'd be all up for that idea too

More giggling happens at the end of Spheal's words.]

Yup, it's the cloudy bird. We can sleep on clouds and if we're ever about to fall, the bird will catch us somehow, so we can just continue sleeping. [Or something like that. Skye the Altaria is a sweetheart, okay.]

Maybe you can draw the same thing next time in grey pens and when she realises they look exactly the same, she'll understand your point! [Humans are so strange. Who knows what goes on in their heads? Paint party?]

Really? [Wide eyes] Clouds must be so comfortable to sleep on! ...but when does cloudy bird sleep? [Because she must be up all night to catch them every time they fall, right?]

They are! I've had the chance to sleep on her wings too. I wonder... Maybe she doesn't need to sleep at all. But that would be strange. I guess she sleeps whenever she's inside her ball, or when there are no clouds on the sky!

[Yay! Throwing her flippers up in celebration! Another problem potentially solved! Trainers return to their rooms to find colours splattered everywhere... ;;]

I don't think clouds sleep, but birds do...so maybe she needs less sleep than we do! [Because the average of 1 and 0 is a half!] Hm...how much time does she spend in the ball though?

[And just because Spheal gets so excited, Audino gets all excited too! Winry will not understand all these changes on her starter's personality...]

Who knows, maybe clouds sleep or at least rest while they're floating up there! ...Maybe she really needs less sleep than we do! [Audino loves her new logical friend, okay?] Not much! She's always one of the six who travel with Winry, along with me - she only switches all of her other pokemon often. And even then she's usually out of her ball to calm Winry's wild pokemon with a song if they don't behave... [And for all other reasons ever.]

She sounds talented! I wish Pidgeot would sing songs too! [But he doesn't. Ever. Next time Spheal finds a bird that sings, she'll chase after it and make sure Rima catches it] But how do clouds they sleep if they're floating? [Because surely you need to be awake for that? Maybe? How does floating actually work?] Unless they fall onto the ground when they sleep! [Even though she's never seen anything cloud like lying on the ground...but it would explain why there aren't always clouds in the sky!]

They really don't sing, at all? This Altaria also hums a lot! [Well, darlings, it is Altaria - the humming pokemon.] Maybe they know how to float while they're asleep - or maybe they're just dreaming while they float. And if they fall to the ground, they'll fall asleep! [The most logical pokemons ever.]

Nope. Never. He just makes a chirpy noise every now and then! [Which is a real shame because Spheal would totally try to sing along if he did!] Oh! Hm...we should go cloud hunting! Then if we find them on the ground, we'll know clouds fall when they sleep! [Best idea ever, right?]

You two should become friends with a few other birds too then! [Wow, that was actually logical - except having a lot of birds might not interest some people. But Didi claps her paws together as soon as she hears the idea!] Let's go cloud hunting! Maybe they'll raise us up once they stop sleeping if we can find any sleeping clouds from the ground! [Yes, it really is the best idea ever! ♥]

Great idea! I'll start chasing after birds! [And some people are not interested in birds once they have one to fly on...but if their Pokemon attack, the trainers will have to follow!] Ooooh! Then it will be like learning fly! [Always wanted to learn fly!] Where are you right now? We've been in Gold-en-rod for ages!

Or roll into egg posts if you see any Swablu eggs! They are bright blue and marked with clouds! [Didi loves Altarias and Swablus, okay? She's been living with one for almost every day ever since Winry came to Johto.] Yes, we can learn fly too! ...And we are in Violet, I guess we'll be here forever because they want to get the badge. Then we'll come back to where you are! Me and Winry were there for ages before Winry's friend got here.

Ooooh! That sounds pretty! But do you think the people will understand me? [Because humans are weird. Pokemon can understand people talk, but they can't understand Pokemon language...] Violet? That's the bird gym! Is it far away? [Spheal managed to get teleported to Goldenrod by chasing a Kirlia, so she has no idea] You'll have to let me know when you're in Goldenrod! Then we can train and go cloud hunting. [And everything else that was mentioned!]

They are very pretty! We could give you one once we get them if you don't get one by then... They might? If they're like Winry, then they will! She's good at understanding us. Or maybe they won't, but their pokemon will. Maybe someone can speak their language! [Humans are really weird... But Winry seems to understand sometimes. And she's just normal human, maybe there are humans who can talk to them, who knows!] It took less than five sunsets to get here, but she didn't walk! [She had a bike! ...But estimating the time might have gone wrong there.] Oh, I will! I'll make Winry post something if it seems like she's not about to say anything about it on this box! And then we'll have fun! [Didi is all excited already.]

And Emgola is an electric type so the Emolaga egg gave me an electric shock earlier! [She thinks back, recalling that time Rima tried to find out why she didn't want to evolve. She loves her trainer, but she really hopes the egg humans are better at understanding...] Five? Hm...is that a long time or a short time? [Because Spheal doesn't remember how long it took them...] Ok!!! I'll learn how to use the box properly so I can look out for you!

Yes, really! I could roll one somewhere out of Winry's sight just for you! [Didi thinks for a moment.] I heard that they're light as feathers, and Vulpix egg was warm! And Ralts felt like it tried to do what I do - sense emotions, that is. And then Riolu's egg had a weird thing around it sometimes! Winry's never had something that gives electric shocks! [But she'll get an Emolga at some point of her life in Johto.] Ummm ...It's not the worst trip ever, but it's a lot if you don't like being alone.

[Wow! Eggs sound so interesting! She wishes she'd seen more of them now. Her trainer buys them off other people sometimes, but this is the first time any Pokemon in the Rima party has had eggs of their own] Hm...? Then maybe it's just Emolga eggs that do that. [Hold on...] But won't the Swablu eggs float away if they're as light as feathers!? [Random thought because Spheal has had plenty of experience with feathers. Mostly trying and failing to catch them ;;]

[Audino knows much about them because Winry buys them too often, or just randomly talks about eggs at her previous time in the place...] Maybe. Or maybe it's a common thing for shocking pokemon, but Winry hasn't raised any eggs from them... [Not that she knows, but Winry has had Pichu eggs long, long time ago. Oh my, now that's a good point about the Swablu eggs!] I hope they don't! Maybe they'll try it, if the girls don't keep their eyes on them!

[Rima doesn't talk about any of the ones she buys...she just takes care of them. But then again, Rima doesn't talk very often about anything] We should make a list of what eggs do! Then we won't be surprised when they do something unexpected because we'll expect it! [So it won't be unexpected...] Or if there's a breeze! But maybe it will be ok if no one opens the windows or turns the fans on.

[But Winry talks about hundred times more than Rima, so Spheal can learn from Didi & Winry!] Let's make that list! Then we can help our other friends with it too! [You have the best ideas, new best friend!♥] Or we'll tell our friends to protect them, like ...Arcanines, they are BIG and fluffy and can stop almost anything! ...But your plan sounds better, Arcanines can't catch it if floats too high... At least, I don't think they can... Flying and floating friends could help if the eggs go too high...

Ok! Then we can write all of them down and draw pictures next to the eggs so everyone knows what they look like! Maybe we can even make a book and have it in all the shops! [They'll be even better when they actually happen!] Like a Pokemon egg rescue team! Or looking after team if we don't need to rescue all of them. [It's more of a success if they don't need rescuing anyway] And if we make bird friends who can sing and fly, they can help us too!

Yes! We can at least write the book and see if we can get it into the shops. I'm sure Winry would do her best to help with that. [Didi makes a little happy dance.] Yup, and somehow we'll have the best team members too! ...Oh, Altarias and Swablus can fly and sing. ...I know too few birds too.

I'll try to convince Rima! She might not want to do it, but if we bother her enough she'll probably give in! Do you think Winry will want to draw the eggs? [She was wondering if she knew any Pokemon who could draw, but if a trainer is helping, it will be much easier!] Maybe we can use this to find other Pokemon and ask them to join us! [...not that Spheal really knows how to use this, but it's a pretty good idea otherwise]

[Ecstatic nod!] ...Come to think of it, Winry might want a list like that. And even if she doesn't, Winry will help for sure! She always us with most things! [Because Winry is awesome, not lazy and she is happy to see her pokemon having fun.] We can try whenever the girls let us use these!

[Rima's happy to see her Pokemon having fun too...but usually she'll just let her Pokemon get on with things without getting involved. As long as they don't end up making a huge mess which she then has to deal with...] Ok! Lets convince our trainers! Then we can all meet up and get to know each other! [Which makes everything quicker because everyone works together! Yay for efficiency!]
