[First thing in the morning the network will be receiving a rather odd text message]

[Followed half a minute later by the familiar fuzzy image of the [ V I D E O ] function starting up. And then a face. Poking it's head into the camera is a blinking blue seal which will probably be familiar if you've spoken to Rima before. She stares blankly at the 'gear for a few seconds before realising this is probably too close and rolling backwards until she reaches a sensible distance]
SPHEAALLL!!!!!!
[More blank starring...and then-]

SPHEAALLL!!!!!!!!!
[Good morning viewers]
[ V I D E O ]
[A few hours later, a second post reaches the network. This time it features Spheal's trainer who looks far less enthusiastic about this morning than her Pokemon did. In contrast, her Emolga is actually appearing in front of the 'gear for once and looks delighted at the turn of events. Rima's managed to do a good job of pulling her new poofy hair into a loose bun but unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about the colour at this moment in time. Or the black stripes now covering her body. Someone's manager would probably cry if they saw her...
...but for now, she'll just deal with the issues that can be resolved]
...I'm guessing this is common enough not to need an explanation.
[Rima shifts to the side so the viewers can see the eggs lined up on her bed. Sat beside them is the Spheal from earlier]

If anyone would like an egg...just ask.
[And that's all from her. No point making a huge fuss about these changes...it doesn't seem to have helped anyone else...]
[ooc: Feel free to respond to the text, Spheal's video, Rima's video or more than one of those. Just leave a note in the subject,'x

» CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Rima Touya
Canon & Medium: Vampire Knight (manga)
Canon Pull-point: Chapter 49
Age: 16
Abilities:
- Enhanced senses: vampires generally tend to avoid sunlight because it hurts their eyes. They can detect the scent of blood through long distances (i.e. when vampires in the moon dorms comment on the smell of Yuki’s blood despite being on the other side of school).
- Superior strength, speed and physical abilities: during her fight with the pureblood, Rima easily leaps into the air and flips over while avoiding her opponent’s attacks.
- Superior intelligence: despite being relatively young, the night class were able to develop blood tablets which help to relieve vampires from their bloodlust. Academically, Rima is good at all subjects.
- Decelerated aging: vampires generally have a longer life span than humans and age more slowly. The rate of ageing varies depending on the purity of a vampire’s blood.
- Unnatural beauty: vampires often take advantage of their attractive looks in order to attract humans as a source of blood.
- Erasing memories: this is used to modify the memories of victims or humans who discover the existence of vampires by accident.
- Rapid healing: although she was stabbed through the upper body during her fight and confined to bed for a short period of time, Rima is seen walking around again the next day. Cuts also vanish seconds after they are inflicted and wounds that would usually kill a human can be recovered from (e.g. Ichijou manages to survive after having his heart partially cut out of his chest).
- Electricity: she can generate electric shocks while touching someone and shoot lightning bolts from the palm of her hands towards enemies.
History: "Ever since long ago, stretching back into the shadows of history, there has been conflict between humans and vampires.”
The original vampire appeared a long time ago, when human civilisation began to crumble, and as the number of vampires increased, the Kuran family took control as the royal family. However, the head of the Kuran family two generations prior to the storyline chose to abolish the monarchy. This led to the formation of the Senate, which govern the vampire society. The vampire society at present is represented by a pyramid: purebloods > aristocrats > common vampires > former humans > former humans who have lost control and kill humans to satisfy their bloodlust. In the present day, aristocrats and vampire hunters work to eliminate Level E vampires, which harm humans, but generally try to avoid clashing. Higher class vampires take advantage of their superior abilities to work among humans as famous singers, actors, businessmen and athletes.
Rima is first introduced as part of the night class at Cross Academy, although she met Shiki through modelling at some point before this point. The academy was founded to help humans and vampires coexist peacefully. Unaware of the true identity of the night class students, the day class idolise the members of the night class due to their beautiful appearances to the extent of gathering outside of the moon dorms every evening just to catch a glimpse of the vampires on their way to classes. For this reason, two prefects from the day class are assigned to the job of keeping the identity of the night class a secret, maintaining order while the night class make their way to lessons and patrolling the school grounds at night to apprehend any day class students who attempt to sneak over to the night class buildings.
For the initial part of the story line, Rima lives a relatively uneventful school life much like the majority of the night class. She appears before one of the prefects, Zero, with a small number of other vampires to reprimand his disrespect towards the pureblood Kaname. However, their meeting is interrupted by the second prefect who prevents the two groups from fighting. She is later seen waiting in the moon dorms with the other vampires (all whom have decided to skip classes for the day and gather for the arrival of the head of the Senate) and also attends the Winter Ball, one of the few events which allow day class and night class students to mingle.
At the end of term a small group of vampires, including Rima, leave Cross Academy to visit the Aidou mansion for the holiday. Meanwhile, Shiki returns home to visit his mother at the request of his great uncle. During her time at the mansion, Rima is seen worrying about him while admiring the roses in the garden. After returning to the academy at the end of the holiday, Rima and three other night class vampires are ordered to follow and protect a day class girl (Yuki) during the day. She later returns to the moon dorm and collapses on the sofa, grumbling about the "weird job" and is immediately greeted by a maid who announces the return of her two friends, Ichijou and Shiki (who’s body has been taken over by his pureblood father). Despite their attempt to act normal, Rima instantly realises something is wrong when she notices her fellow model's mismatched eyes and asks “what happened?”. Before he can respond, he is pulled away by Ichijou who reminds him of something important to do.
Soon after she confronts Ichijou and Rido (who is using Shiki's body), and having come to the conclusion that he is not the Shiki she knows, demands to know his true identity. They engage in a battle and Rima is quickly overpowered by the power of a pureblood vampire. She comments on her gratefulness to the rapid healing ability possessed by vampires and ignores Ichijou's request to stop fighting. Disregarding the wound, she declares that she will kick the intruder out of her friend's body, but sustains a serious injury soon after, saved only by Ichijou’s warning. She then calls out to her friend and manages to her help him regain control over his body.
Rima is next seen lying in a bed after her fight, apparently recovering from her injuries and is carried out of the building by Shiki as it begins to crumble during the fight between purebloods and hunters. As he lifts her up, she stirs from her sleep and comments that she is hungry, asking her friend for some blood later. Following the end of the battle on the school grounds and the disappearance of their close friend, Ichijou, Rima and Shiki are seen wandering into the forest at night to search for him while ignoring the protests of their manager.
Personality: Similarly to most of the night class, Rima seems to have seems to have accepted the Day Class students as a normal, albeit annoying, part of daily life. But unlike Aido or Ruka who seem to have opinions on the other students, Rima shows little (if any) interest in them at all, regardless of their endlessly enthusiastic attempts to grab her attention. In fact, she shows surprisingly little concern towards most things, for example when apprehending Zero along with a handful of others. From the start, she had seemed dubious about attacking him, asking the others if they are “really doing this” since Ichijou said not to, and afterwards shows how little she really cares about dealing with him by paying more attention to Kain’s “uncool” actions than to their target. Even so, the fact that she was there in the first place shows she does care genuinely about Kaname in her own discreet way, rather than hanging around him just because of his Pureblood status. It is later revealed that she attends the academy because she feels happy and comfortable in the place he created for them as opposed to being there because of her family’s political beliefs (pro-monarchy/Kaname).
For most of the story Rima appears calm, quiet and indifferent, not unlike her fellow model Shiki. She seems more curious than afraid when waiting for the arrival of a more powerful vampire, her face remaining blank and tone unvaried since she’s already use to being in the presence of someone “scarier”. Although her personality is quite similar to Shiki’s in some aspects, she tends to pay a little more attention to her surroundings – for example, informing him of the fact there really is a new student when he hears Ichijou murmuring about it and asks whether their friend is talking about a new book.
Despite the fact she is often reluctant to fulfil orders such as exterminating ex humans and being assigned to protect Yuuki Cross during the day, she follows Kaname’s orders without question and is able to carry them out without a fuss. While she and three others are watching over Yuuki, she doesn’t bother to hide her irritation regarding the situation, but still manages to maintain the respectful bodyguard role. And though this seems to be a result of wanting to complete the task somewhat professionally rather than actually respecting her at that point in time, she even interrupts Aidou’s rant in order to add “-sama” to Yuuki’s name. She is also seen attending the Winter Ball and dancing in a group with some day class students while wearing an expression that clearly shows a lack of enthusiasm. While sometimes compliant, she won’t pretend to be enjoying something when she isn’t.
She shows no guilt or remorse when killing vampires which were once human, viewing the task as a simply job which must be done and labelling it “no big deal”. Furthermore, she seems completely unconcerned about the presence of Level Es and the potential danger they pose, even finding the time to stop for a half serious conversation with her companion before getting on with the task at hand. Like all aristocrats at the academy, she understands the need to kill them off before they start attacking humans at random and that’s all there is to it. This indifferent outlook remains the same towards other vampires too and when another model tells the story of being followed by one that wasn’t driven by bloodlust, she simply listens in with mild interest before shrugging it off as minor problem since the girl wasn’t hurt and this sort of thing was to be expected in the current situation. However, this lack of interest towards ex human vampires and other vampires in general doesn’t seem to stem from the fact she looks down on them because the difference in their statuses; Rima is just naturally aloof.
As well as attending classes at night and hunting down ex humans during the day, she also spends time modelling with Shiki, and although she doesn’t seem to show much very enthusiasm towards the profession she takes it seriously and even scolds her friend when he doesn’t. Before meeting Shiki, she was a huge fan of his mother and wanted to follow in her footsteps, but ended up modelling rather than acting for an unknown reason (maybe modelling suits the default bored look more than acting, or modelling is just her path into acting since you have more choice once you’re famous). However, the additional activities that take place during the day when most vampires would be sleeping leave Rima tired and contribute to feelings of annoyance towards pointless things that require unnecessary effort.
Aside from the usual detached manner, she can be surprising short tempered, especially if someone she cares about it concerned in the matter. This was first triggered by Maria’s presence in Cross Academy, when she and the other members of the night class immediately became suspicious of their unexpected transfer student. Clearly unimpressed by the girl’s insolence during their first encounter, Rima doesn’t hesitate to snap at her rude interruption to a conversation with Shiki while the other model doesn’t say a word. Her responsive side is far more notable when Rido Kuran arrives at the Academy. Her close bond with Shiki allows her to immediately realise something is amiss after a brief exchange of words while the majority of other students remain oblivious to the internal change. She has no problems with speaking her mind when she has an opinion and occasionally makes sardonic comments towards her classmates e.g. describing Aidou’s passionate speech as “a little creepy” and openly telling Shiki Ichijou’s katana doesn’t suit him.
Rima encountered Shiki while working as a model long before she began attending the academy and the two are rarely seen without each other. She acts like the older sister in their relationship; worrying about him while they are apart and chiding him in situations that are both unimportant (“Just chase him” while hunting Level Es) and serious (“You should love yourself more!” when his body is taken over by Rido). She is loyal to and protective of her friends – even willing to endanger her own life by fighting against a superior Pureblood vampire and wander off into a remote forest soon after being injured to search for a friend who has gone missing.
As a random side note, she also has a liking for Pocky and cute things such as pink heart shaped bags and plushies.
» EXSILIUM INFORMATION
Weapon: Rima’s weapon will be a dark blue ribbon which seems like nothing more than a typical ribbon when not in use, but extends like a whip when it is required to. Although it will maintain the appearance of a ribbon, the impact will feel like a standard leather whip. Range, strength and ease of control will increase as she trains with it.
At first, the weapon will function like a typical whip and require precise aiming but will gradually begin to move with her intentions as she becomes accustomed to it. Extending and contracting will initially require large amounts of concentration but with practice it will change length more rapidly and fluidly to accommodate her needs. The destructive capabilities will increase with training as will the ease of controlling the amount of force put into her attacks.
The ribbon will only be useful for attacking purposes when she first receives it, but can develop the ability to wrap around opponents and hold them in place later on. Eventually, she will be able to send electric shocks (which are part of her original vampire abilities) through the weapon as if it were a part of her body.
Character INVENTORY: Rima will arrive with the clothes she was wearing, an umbrella, phone, money and blood tablets.
» SAMPLES
First Person: [There’s a teenage girl seated at one of the many tables in the library, flicking absent-mindedly through a large brown textbook. Although the cover is faced down and the viewers cannot see the title, a closer look at the shelves in the background will reveal that she is in the History section. When she speaks, she appears to be talking more to herself than to the network]
Oil deposits in 2015 AD… [She sighs and closes the book, placing on the table] That’s not too long after my timeline… [Even if this Earth is supposedly a different one from the one she came from, it’s still unnerving to read about. Finally, she turns her attention away from the book and glances directly at the camera of the tablet]
I was wondering…what kind of worlds were people pulled from? How many of you recognise names like “America”, “Germany” and “Japan”?
Third Person: Sacramento, California. Of all the places she could have been sent for a mission, it had to be one of the sunniest in world. The task itself was simple enough: travel back in time and prevent a theft from taking place. But it was mid-summer and the weather was the perfect example of what humans would refer to as a ‘beautiful day’. For Rima, it was just an inconvenience. The sun was far too bright, her eyes were beginning to hurt and she knew she would start to burn if she didn't hurry up and finish this job. The only thing she could be somewhat grateful for was the time of day. It was early; early enough that the majority of humans were still asleep so the street was still moderately empty. A nice contrast to the usual squealing she had to deal with back home.
“SOMEBODY STOP HIM!!!!!"
…or not. She winced slightly at the detection of a sudden high pitched scream through her sensitive ears and turned, somewhat exasperatedly, to face the direction in which the sound had come from. Stumbling gracelessly through the streets was a young and wealthy looking woman. A few metres ahead she could also see a man hurrying just as desperately away from the woman and carrying a bright red handbag that certainly did not fit in with the rest of his image.
“Guess I’ve found my target…” She murmured to no one in particular. The vampire didn’t bother to reach for the ribbon tied around her neck; the thief seemed (and smelt) human which meant her natural speed and power would be more than enough for this job. Sure enough, the man looked up seconds later to find Rima stood directly in his path, almost as if she had just appeared out of nowhere, wearing an expression that screamed ‘disinterested’ but a stance which showed no intent of moving out of his way.
“…that doesn’t belong to you, does it?” The actual mission wasn’t a particularly big deal to her, but the sooner she finished it, the sooner she would be able to get out of the sun.
» ADDITIONAL NOTES
Rima instinctively desires blood and reacts to the scent of human blood. However, vampires in Vampire Knight do not require blood to survive and can use blood tablets as a substitute.

[Back in Violet again.
The sun is just beginning to set, casting an orange glow over the city, and the streets are relatively empty. Rima's sat by the lake, leaned against one of the trees right outside Violet Gym. She's just starring off into space at the moment while nibbling on a cupcake and occasionally feeding pieces to the Spheal happily rolling around next to her]
[ V I D E O ]
[It's been a while since she's addressed the network, and as usual, she doesn't have much that much to say]
I've decided it will be useful to teach my Pokemon how to fly.
[She doesn't sound too enthusiastic about it though. It's only really because having Fly will probably save her a lot of time and effort in the long term. Even though getting it looks like it'll be a huge pain]
Anything in particular I should keep in mind before running off to challenge a gym leader?
3rd Night
[The first thing that comes into view is an upside down Goldenrod City. Those familiar with the Pokemon may also recognise the outline of a Kirlia just before it vanishes via teleport...
And then the Pokegear falls flat on the ground and the viewers are presented with a screen full of grass]
Where... [A few moments of silence as she glances around and notices a sign]
...strange...
SPHEAALLL! [And that, would be the biggest giveaway as to who this is]
2nd Night
[Survived the random Pokemon jumping out everywhere and arrived in Cherrygrove City!!!
...but right now that's not the priority...
The first thing you'll see is Rima stood in her Cross Academy Uniform. In contrast, she's holding the green dress which had already been in her backpack when she arrived. And she doesn't look particularly impressed]
Really?

Relationships
Pinkie Pie █ ![]() | |
Rima isn't too sure what to think of her...and that's not because of the pony thing. Pinkie has enough energy to be comparable to the squealing day class fans from back home...which is not a good thing. On the other hand she was the first helpful person Rima encountered here and she doesn't dislike their conversations...as strange as they tend to get. |
Niou Masaharu █ ![]() | |
After their first conversation, Rima decided he was someone she would rather avoid...after speaking with him a second time she decided she was definitely avoiding him. "Sanada" left Johto a few weeks later, and while she doesn't miss him or appreciate the Gastly in the PC...he's certainly made a lasting impression. |
Lacus Clyne █ ![]() | |
Rima is grateful to her for being one of the first people to help when she arrived in Johto, even though she did wonder why Lacus seemed to care so much about someone who was a complete stranger. She doesn't think of her as a friend yet, but she wouldn't mind getting in touch at some point either since it's been a few months since they've spoken. |
Chi Yamada █ ![]() | |
Confusing is the first word that comes to mind. So far, only half of their conversations have actually gone somewhere and even those have taken far more effort than she feels was necessary. Chi's descriptions and problems (Growlithe. Wet cloth. Fuzzy.) make little sense to her and Rima still isn't sure whether she is a person or a cat. |
Yagyuu Hiroshi █ ![]() | |
First impression of Yagyuu wasn't bad compared to some of the others she's met (good thing he wasn't wearing that yellow jacket or she might never have responded to the video). He introduced her to the Pokemon "Eevee" and has given some good advice on how to deal with Ghost types. They haven't interacted enough for Rima to really form an opinion, but he seems pleasant enough. |
Rin Okumura █ ![]() | |
Rin is always an interesting person to talk to...but his reasons for being interesting can bad as well as good. She wasn't sure whether to be concerned when she saw him covered in bruises or to just turn off the Pokegear. One day they will actually introduce themselves! ...and then she can stop thinking of him as the guy with crazy training methods... |
Luca Milda █ ![]() | |
Rima's met a surprisingly small number of people who can hold a normal conversation, so Luca automatically gets points for that! She enjoys learning about his experiences with the ruins since she never visited places like that back home. Although she does wish she hadn't paid attention to what he said about it being hard for the Pokemon who were left behind... (that Gastly OTL) |
Yui Hirasawa █ ![]() | |
The crazy ideas, the illogical suggestions, the idea that playing another instrument is the same as cheating....and now the nickname for her Pokegear... It's a good thing they met in Johto, because in Rima's world Yui's cheeriness and unpredictability on top of the daily dose of screaming fans would just be too much. Despite some comments making her want to facepalm, conversations with Yui are usually fairly enjoyable. |
Kobato Hasegawa █ ![]() | |
Rima views Kobato as a strange vampire who is prone to rapid changes in personality. She doesn't believe the powers claim for a second. Or the declaration of responsibility for whatever happened during those few days. But aside from the threats, Kobato hasn't actually done anything to inconvenience her so Rima's opinion remains neutral. |

Background: "Ever since long ago, stretching back into the shadows of history, there has been conflict between humans and vampires.”
